Box For Homemade Chocolates - Step By Step Tutorial

Hey everyone!

If you checked in last Wednesday to see what we posted you would've seen our chocolates tutorial. How many of you made some of your own? I have made so many batches since experimenting and I love it! It's so easy to do and so much fun. I have definitely been watching what else I've eaten though! If you missed the tutorial then you can find it here.

As these chocolates are perfect as a Valentines Day gift I thought it would be fun to share with you how you can make a cute little box to put them in.

This is ideal for your loved one or even if you just wanted to give them to a friends as a small gift! It's very simple to make so just keep reading to find out how.

Steps:

1) Cut a piece of card stock to 8" x 11" and score on the long side at 1 1/2", 4 3/4", 6 1/4" and 9 1/2". Then score on the short side at 1 1/2" and 6 1/2". You should have three squares on the each side (having the card with the shorter sides at the top and bottom). Cut into the the scorelines above and below each sqaures and notch in slightly on both sides

2) Put some adhesive of your choice onto four of the squares as shown below. Fold the card and stick the squares into the rectangle between them. This will be the bottom of your box

3) Put some glue on the last two remaining squares and adhere to the rectangles below. You have now created your lid

4) Using some form of circle punch, I chose a small scalloped one, punch out half a circle in your lid. This will just help make it easier to open it

5) For the sleeve cut a piece of dsp to 3" x 10 1/2". Simply wrap your dsp around your box and glue to keep in shape. Make sure it's not too tight

6) Place a doily inside your box and fill with all your chocolate goodies

I also added a die cut heart and sentiment to mine!

No matter what the occasion is, you can always add a little handmade touch to your gifts!

As you can fill the box with a reasonable amount of chocolates it would also be perfect if you made slightly bigger ones.

Let us know if you make one of your own or if there is anything else you would like to see!
