Box For Christmas Biscuits - #24DaysOfBlogmas Day 18

Hey! Can you believe we are coming near to the end of #blogmas?!

If you missed yesterdays post I showed you how to make some delicious biscuits. Check it out here. I wanted to show you how you can make a sweet little box for your biscuits.

You and your children or grandchildren can give these out as presents. They are so easy to make and you can add some many embellishments or leave it nice and simple.

If you want to find out how you can make your own then just keep reading.

Steps:

1) Cut two piece of card both 6 1/2" x 5 1/4". One both score 1" all around on all four sides. On one of the pieces cut the scorelines on each side of the longer rectangles then notch in both sides of the squares. This will be the base piece

2) On the second piece which will be the lid so the same on one side but on the opposite completely remove both squares and notch in slightly on each side of the rectangle

3) With  the base piece stick the tabs to the inside on the longer rectangles. If you want to conceal the tabs on one side, stick them to the other side (when you attach the lid it will cover it)

4) Cut a piece of card or DSP to 4 1/2" x 3 1/4". Stick this to the top of the lid. The small tab is the top. Stamp your sentiment and anything else on the card. Using an oval die, or any other shape you would like, cut a window out

5) On the longer rectangle with the two squares either side, use a small circle punch to punch a semi-circle out in the middle.

6) Stick the two squares on the lid to the inside of the rectangle in the middle of them

7) Place the lid on the box then fold down the back tab to secure it all together. It won't go all the way to the bottom

8) Fold the lid backwards and cut off a diagonal part. This will just stop the side pieces sticking out. Repeat on both sides

9) Place your biscuits in a bag and put them in your box! You could also add a mini doily at the bottom

I really hope you enjoyed this post! I may have done something similar in a previous post but I think it's also nice to show you different ways you can use things!

Tomorrows post will actually be a box to put the truffles in!
