Box For Truffles! - #24DaysOfBlogmas Day 19

Hey everyone! Hopefully you will have seen my homemade truffle post - if you missed it you can find here

I said I would be showing you how to make a box for the truffles the next day but I got the posts mixed up and to be honest I couldn't wait to show the biscuits!

I made a small sliding box that will fit two truffles - just the right amount - and I also added a window as I did with the box for the biscuits!

This box is super easy to make and hopefully it will give you another fun idea on how you can box up your presents for your loved ones.

If you want to find out how to make the box then just keep reading.

Steps:

1) You will need two pieces of cardstock, one cut to 6 1/2" x 3 1/2" and the other 4 1/4" x 6". You will also need three pieces of DSP cut to 3 3/8" x 1 3/8" and finally a piece of acetate cut to 3" x 1 1/4"

2) On the 6 1/2" x 3 1/2" score on the long side at 1/2", 2", 3 1/2" and 5" - this is the outside piece. On the other piece of cardstock score 1 1/38" on all four sides - this is your inside piece

3) On your outside piece you should have four large rectangles and one small one. With the small one at the top put your DSP on the top three rectangles. Make sure the top piece is upside down (if it can only go one way) so when you put the box together is isn't upside down

4) Using a die cut a window out of your middle panel with the DSP

5) Stick your acetate piece under your cut out

6) Place some sticky strip or glue on your small rectangle and fold in half and seal together

7) On your other piece of card stock cut into the scoreline between the squares on each side and notch out slightly

8) To put together fold each long side of the box up and put tab number 1 in first then tab number two. To secure all together stick the middle tab up

9) However, on the other side before you stick the last tab up take a 1/8" hole punch and punch a hole near the centre of the square

10) Thread a piece of ribbon through so you have a loop on the outside and stick either side down on the inside

11) Stick your final tab up

12) Check to make sure your box fit in the sleeve park and pull in and out smoothly

13) Put two of your truffles inside and you are done!

I really hope you enjoyed this post! Even if you don't make this post I would highly recommend making the truffles. We plan on making them again for christmas day and trying different flavours.
