Hey everyone and welcome to another technique post!
This was actually supposed to go up on Sunday but I was away with family and had no internet connection/computer to put it up!
I wanted to share with you a very quick and easy technique of how you can add glitter to your cards/projects without having to emboss.
Another thing I love about this technique is the way you can add something in the centre very easily.
If you want to find out how you can do the technique then please keep reading.
Steps:
1) The first thing you need to do it create your card base and layers. I talked about this a lot in a pervious post about how to work out your sizes, you can check it out here.
I create a told folding card with two layers over the top
2) In my opinion this is the best way to use this technique, especially if its your first time. Stick your first layer onto your card base
3) Temporarily stick your second layer onto your card and cut out a window through the whole of the card except for the back of the card base
4) Stick a piece of packing tape behind the window of your top layer, make sure its wider than your window. At this point you can punch out a shape or picture and add to the centre
5) Pour a generous amount of glitter onto the window and press onto the packing tape. Make sure you do this on a piece of scrap paper. Turn over and flick the back to get rid of any excess
6) Finally put your card together and add your sentiment and any other embelishments
I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial. I absolutely love trying out new techniques and I think this the perfect way to add a pop to your projects.
Let us know what you would like to see in future posts.
Happy crafting!
