Hey everyone! I can't believe we are already down to last 5 post for #blogmas! It's gone so quick!
I wanted to do another christmas card for you today but with an added extra; a gift card holder!
This card is perfect for so many reason, if you are in a rush, have limited supplies or wanted to completely surprise someone! It's so easy to make and your play around with the position of your gift card! You don't have to worry about it falling out when they open it and it hides what kind of gift card it is. I don't usually like to give gift cards with the shop name on the card as it gives it away instantly!
If you want to find out how to make this super easy card then just keep reading.
Steps:
1) For you card base you will need to cut some card to 9" x 5 1/2" and score at 4 1/2". You will need two pieces of DSP; one 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" and the other 2" x 3". A piece of white (or any lighter colour) card cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/4". Finally you will need a piece for your gift holder which will be 4" x 3 1/4"
2) Take your white piece of card and stamp a sentiment in the centre. You could also add a few decorative stamps or stickers if you would like. Corner round the two bottom corners
3) Corner round all four corners on your card base and also the bottom two on your bigger piece of DSP. Stick your DSP to the front of your card and stick the piece from the previous step to the inside
4) Take your piece of card for your gift card holder and score on both the long sides 1/2" in and also on one of the short sides
5) Cut out two small triangles on each bottom corner and use a circle punch to punch half a circle from the straight edge (where you didn't score)
6) Stick your smaller piece of DSP onto your gift card holder
7) Stick your gift card holder onto your card. You could simply place this in the centre but I wanted to add some more colour!
Such a simple card but I think it look's pretty sweet!
