Aurora Borealis Card Part 1 - #24DaysOfBlogmas Day 22

Hey everyone. We are down to the last few #blogmas posts!

I wanted to do a two part card tutorial for the next couple of posts. This first part I will show you how to easily create an aurora borealis scene! You only need a few colour inks and a couple of sponges to get the amazing look!

You could use this technique to create cards for any occasion but I think it's particularly fun to use for a Christmas card!

If you want to find out how to make this card then just keep reading.

Steps:

1) You first need a yellow, make sure it's not too pale as you won't be able to see it! Cover most of the card with the yellow ink using strokes. You can be messy with this as it works better if some parts are darker than others and you have some white patches . Focus the darker parts more in the centre

2) Take a turquoise ink and repeat the same. Don't cover the dark patches of yellow too much. Focus the darker parts more on the outside

3) Use a dark blue to do the exact same as step 2

4) Finally you need a dark purple. You will find you will lose the majority of blue and turquoise so do this bit by look and have a good look! Again don't go over the yellow too much!

As you can see it's very simple to do and the messier the better.

Don't forget to check back tomorrow to see part 2!
